English for Integrated Studies
English for Integrated Studies (EIS) is a new model of bilingual education first introduced in the Kingdom of Thailand.
In the EIS project Thai teachers instruct their classes (Science, Mathematics, Computer and English) in English language using English textbooks. The low amounts of tuition fees paid by the students are used to train the Thai teachers to use English as a medium of instruction. Then Teachers improve their skills by on-the-job-training and students improve their English language skills in the new created English environment. EIS is based on a mix of applying the Human Resource Development (HRD) theory and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) of His Majesty the King Bhumibol. The mix of developing a human being in the aspects of economic, system and psychology with respect to the spiritual aspect of Thai culture; reasonableness, moderation and self-immunity creates sustainable knowledge and it will ensure that the teachings of Buddha will be maintained.

โรงเรียนจักรคำคณาทร จังหวัดลำพูน เป็นโรงเรียนที่ได้รับคัดเลือกจากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการ
การศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานให้เข้าร่วมโครงการห้องเรียนพิเศษวิทยาศาสตร์ คณิตศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี รุ่นแรก
ในจำนวน 96 โรง ซึ่งหนึ่งในมาตรฐานของห้องเรียนพิเศษวิทยาศาสตร์ คณิตศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี ข้อหนึ่ง
คือ ให้มีการจัดการเรียนสอนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ และคณิตศาสตร์ เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ และใช้ตำราภาษาอังกฤษ
ขณะเดียวกันโรงเรียนจักรคำคณาทร จังหวัดลำพูน ก็ได้รับคัดเลือกให้เข้าร่วมโครงการโรงเรียน
มาตรฐานสากลของ กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ หนึ่งใน 500 โรงเรียน โดยโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากลกำหนดให้มี
การจัดหลักสูตรแบบ 4 บวก 2 คำว่า 2 คือ ให้มีการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ 1 ภาษา และภาษาอื่นอีก
อย่างน้อย 1 ภาษา ให้สามารถสื่อสารเป็นสากลได้ เพื่อรองรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลกในด้านสังคม
เศรษฐกิจ และการเมือง ซึ่งมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างรวดเร็ว
โรงเรียนจักรคำคณาทร จังหวัดลำพูน จำเป็นต้องจัดให้มีการเรียนการสอนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์
คณิตศาสตร์ ภาษาอังกฤษและคอมพิวเตอร์ เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ใช้ตำราภาษาอังกฤษ สอนโดยครูไทย ตาม
โมเดล EIS(English for Integrated Studies) เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามเจตนารมณ์ หลักการและแนวทาง
